An Open Letter to Chick-Fil-A

Dear Kind People at Chick-Fil-A,

I have recently been self-diagnosed with an addiction to Chicken Minis. Yes. That's right. An addiction to a very specific type of food. I don't know why, but the heart wants what the heart wants. You see, it all began one fateful Friday morning with my freshman roommate, Mary, and my BFF future roommate, Julianna. We decided that we deserved the day off of school (sorry mom & dad!!!!) to get some breakfast at Chick-Fil-A. Lucky for us, we go to the best school in the world, TCU. TCU is absolutely wonderful and has provided at Chick-Fil-A on campus, just below our dining hall, the BLUU. Well, that all sounds wonderful until you hear the completely horrible news about our little Chick-Fil-A: they don't serve Chicken Minis. I don't know who thought this was a good idea, but they're missing out on some serious business by holding out on us. So, back to my story. We had decided to ditch our classes for the day and head to the off campus Chick-Fil-A. I had never tried Chicken Minis before and my BFFs were prepared to take my Chicken Mini virginity.

We pulled up to the building and stepped inside, feeling a little righteous about ditching school. We all ordered our meals, Chicken Minis, hash browns and sweet tea for me, then sat down. Finally, our food was delivered to our table. At that moment, I swear an angel descended down from heaven and set those very Chicken Minis right in front of me, for when I took my first bite, I tasted a little bit of heaven that day in Fort Worth.

Now, you must be wondering why I am telling you this story, Chick-Fil-A. Well, today happens to be Sunday. The Sabbath. The day of rest. Unfortunately, that also means that Chick-Fil-As all around the country are closed. Although I respect your Christian beliefs, being as I am a Christian myself, I have to disagree with your choice of closure. What would be a better way to celebrate the day of rest by heading to your neighborhood Chick-Fil-A, after church of course, to enjoy some delicious Chicken Minis with your family and loved ones. I personally think opening on Sundays would be a change for the better.

I happened to wake up this morning craving Chicken Minis, but guess what. Chick-Fil-A is closed. Join me, people of America, to get the best fast food restaurant in the country open on Sundays.

  1. They just opened the first Chick-fil-a in Washington last month, and it is still PACKED! There are 2 cops directing traffic at all times, and all surrounding parking lots have signs that say, "NOt chick-fil-a parking, will be towed" You're not the only one with an addiction!
