Thursday Things

You know when life decides to throw you a bajillion different things at once? Yeah that happened to me this week. So many things have been going on that I haven't had a spare second to write! I'm going to catch y'all up in a nice concise post. Ready, go.

1. Halloween. I know it's been almost a week since Halloween and I'd promised y'all I'd post pictures, but I honestly didn't many, so here's a few! On Friday I went as a burglar with a few of my friends (we obviously recruited some cops) and on Saturday I decided to go last minute as Ke$ha! When life throws you gold leggings... you embrace it, okay? Overall it was such a fun weekend!

2. World Series. Clearly last week, I could not shut up about the Royals (read it here and here). Well, y'all, you've probably heard it by now but the Royals won the World Series! I watched all five games in the series and the boys in blue love to keep you on your toes, that's for dang sure! Here's a few of my favorite moments from the winning game!

3. ... and more Royals. Okay, okay, I'm not done talking about the Royals. Not sorry 'bout it. But with victory comes celebration! The last time the Royals won the World Series, there was an incredible ticker tape parade in downtown KC.

Clearly, it's been a little while since those were taken. 30 years, actually. So Kansas City just had to out-do itself this year. The World Series Champions parade happened on Tuesday in downtown Kansas City and 800,000 people showed up. To give you a little perspective only 400,000 people attended Woodstock. The KC metro area has about 2 million people.. that means almost half of Kansas City attended. That's incredible. Almost all of the local schools were cancelled (they called it a 'Blue Day' instead of a snow day!) and highways leading to downtown were so jam packed that people were abandoning their cars just so they could get to the parade. I'm so incredibly lucky to call myself a Kansas Citian and I am so upset I had to miss this amazing event (seriously, I started crying in the library). Just take a look at the amazing pictures from Tuesday!

4. I'm a big girl! I had a big interview for an internship this past Monday that I'm so excited about! Crossing my fingers and my toes that I get it!

5. HBO Go. I woke up yesterday morning to a very enthusiastic email from TCU saying that all of us now have access to free HBO Go. Can you say score?! Naturally my roommate and I wanted to try it out ASAP so we watched the Amy Schumer special. It was so funny, but definitely raunchy, in true Amy fashion. Have any suggestions to watch on HBO? Let me know!!

Well that's the end of my mindless ramble today. Hope everyone is having a great Thursday and has an awesome weekend!
