Taco Tuesday in Fort Worth

In Texas, tacos are practically a religion. I'm going to let you in on a little secret: I actually wasn't that big of a fan of Mexican food in general before I came here. Seriously. My go-to order was a cheese quesadilla (okay, sometimes it still is). But Texas, you've grown on me. And so has your food. As the most appropriate day of the week to eat tacos (Tuesday) I figured I'd share a few of my, and the rest of Fort Worth's, favorite taco stops with y'all.

Torchy's Tacos
Ah, Torchy's. If you're a fellow Texan you can practically taste the delicious queso in your mouth. Torchy's is like that rebellious cousin that has tattoos up and down his arm. A cousin that serves delicious tacos, that is. As a die-hard breakfast taco-lover, any place that sells b-fast tacos all day is a win in my book. However if you're a little more adventurous than I, go try the 'Democrat' or the 'Dirty Sanchez.' And don't even think about not ordering queso.

Fuzzy's
Fuzzy's may be a nationwide franchise, but it holds a special place in my heart because the original location is right here on the edge of TCU's campus. This is the go-to post-bars eatery for most TCU students, with intoxicated students gorging themselves with chips, queso and delicious tacos. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu but check out the 'Tempura Shrimp' taco next time you're in.

Salsa Limon
A true Fort Worth classic, Salsa Limon has slowly but surely taken Cowtown by storm. After two successful storefronts, Salsa emerged on TCU's campus as a popular food truck outside of popular bars. New this year, Salsa has a storefront right on University Drive, practically right on campus. Serving traditional 'Mexico City' style tacos, everything is mouthwateringly good. Obviously my pick is a breakfast taco (mainly because I haven't tried much of anything else!).

Taco Heads
Brand new, Taco Heads is practically any blogger's dream. This place's aesthetic is so damn good it's hard to choose just one thing to instagram. After only visiting once, I can't attest to much but I can assure you I will be back soon. P.S.- Try the guacamole!!

Velvet Taco
#HonestyHour, I've never actually been to Velvet Taco before but that is clearly a mistake on my part. I've heard far too many good things about this place and I plan to high-tail it there as soon as I get the chance. I'll return with a full report, ASAP.

So there it is. No more wondering where to get your Taco Tuesday fix- you've got plenty of options. Where do you get your favorite tacos? Share below in the comments!
