Holy cow y’all… I’m twenty! Crazy how fast this past year has flown by, but I loved every minute of it! College, internship, blogging… it’s been a wild one!
My present from my ever-so-amazing parents was a nice and shiny, brand new, 64GB iPhone 6! I’m so excited! They were probably tired of me complaining about the lack of storage my 16GB iPhone 5 had (1st world problems… I know). Such a great and practical gift. How lucky did I get being blessed with two loving and awesome parents like my own? I will never know. I can’t wait to play with the cool features the 6 has to offer… hello slow-mo videos! I’m such a nerd. But hopefully this will mean more blog photos! Whoohoo! I needed a case ASAP so I went over to my friendly neighborhood Marshall's (this isn't even sponsored- I just love Marshall's) and got this super cute case for... wait for it.... EIGHT DOLLARS. If that's not a steal then I don't know what is.

I'M TWENTY! | Seeking the South

Last night I went to a dinner with my family, minus my brother (stop adulting would ya?!) at SPIN! Pizza. If you’re in the KC area and haven’t had SPIN!, you’re not living. Seriously though. I highly suggest the Mio combo where you can get a salad and a mini pizza for a great price. AND THEY HAVE GELATO! What’s not to love? (They also just opened a location so close to my house I could walk to it so that’s the best part.)

We've gotten really good at selfies.

Today's been a good lazy day full of sleeping in, Chick-Fil-A Chicken Minis and [FREE] Starbucks. I'd say it doesn't really get better than this!

Tonight I just want to spend the evening with my BFFs, so we’re going to RA Sushi, which is seriously one of my favorite places ever. Sushi + Good prices + friends = happy Emma. (Just in case you were wondering.)

I've kind of been thinking all day about birthdays and such and it seems to me that the older you get, the more the little stuff matters. It's not about how many people wrote on your Facebook wall, or how many tweets you get, but it's those few people that have taken time out of their day year after year to make sure to wish you a happy birthday. Those are the important ones. I'm so blessed to have a few of these people in my life and I'm so thankful for each and every one of them. Thank you to everyone who has already made my day so great!

Well, that’s about it, but thank you so much for making my nineteenth year a good one, and I can’t wait to see what the big man upstairs has in store for my twentieth!

  1. Happy Birthday!! I'm going to be turning 20 in July myself! Looks like you had a fabulous birthday! I'm totally the same, little things in life are what matter the most!
