Another Sephora sale!! Husbands, boyfriends… significant others.. will soon be sighing at credit card bills not even looking up to realize their lady (or gent!!) suddenly has flawlessly radiant skin. HA. We all know the joke that Sephora can leave quite the dent in a budget. Some might ask, why not just buy drugstore makeup and skincare? As someone who’s working their first full-time job, paying bills and rent, etc., I get this more than anyone! Trust me, I wouldn’t spend $$$ on stuff I didn’t think was worth it. (95% of my closet is from Target and Old Navy, y’all) But think about it: you probably put on makeup, or at least touch, your skin every day. Why subject it to subpar products? Sure, I don’t buy the ridiculous $400 face creams (ask me when I’m a millionaire and maybe I’ll splurge), but I’m definitely not buying $10 foundation. With this weekend’s upcoming Sephora sale, I wanted to share what’s truly worth spending the money, in my opinion!
If you’re a Rouge or VIB Sephora member, lucky you! You’ve already had a few weekends to shop. Missed out? Don’t worry, you can shop again on the 16th!
However, everyone gets 15% off from November 16th to November 19th. (You must be a Beauty Insider, but that’s as easy as entering your email!)
So what should you buy at Sephora’s biggest sale of the season? I’ve divided up my picks into the products I’ve tried over and over and loved, products I’ve recently bought and products I’m looking to buy during the sale!
Tried & True:
I think I’ve been using It Cosmetics’ CC+ Cream for almost four years now. I started out with the OG CC+ Cream back in the day, and then when the illuminating CC+ cream came out, I had to try it (dewy is in, y’all). However, now they’ve come out with an oil-free, matte version, and I want to try that next! It Cosmetics can truly do no wrong.
Speaking of It Cosmetics, I also use their Bye Bye Under Eye concealer every day. I think the #adulting life has hit me hard because I not only feel tired all the time, but I look tired, too. I dab this concealer below my eyes and use a wet beauty blender to blend it in, and I suddenly look awake! If only it actually made me more awake (that’s what coffee is for).
I first tried this mascara a few years ago and although I loved it, I decided to try a different mascara once I ran out of it. However, I immediately knew it was no Perversion. This stuff makes my [weak] lashes look fuller and more volumized. After I use my lash curler, I actually use my L’Oreal mascara primer and let it sit for a few seconds and then go in and use my Perversion mascara.
If any of these are already in your makeup bag, it’s this one. And if you don’t own it, you’ve tried it before. There’s a reason it’s one of Sephora’s best sellers (sadly, it’s being discontinued, so buy it while you can!!). I’ve had this palette for years and actually ran out of my favorite shade, Sin. However, Urban Decay thought ahead and also sells the shades individually, so you don’t have to buy the whole palette for one shade! So convenient.
Okay, I’ll admit it. I bought this mascara and didn’t originally like it. On my top lashes. However, it was so perfect for my bottom lashes! I didn’t want my bottom lashes to be overdone and full, so this mascara was able to make my eyes pop without being too clumpy!
I swear this blush showed up in my makeup stash out of nowhere. Maybe a gift from my mom? Who knows. No matter where it came from, I’m obsessed. I wear it every day. I wear the color “paaarty” (lol) which looks pink online, but definitely looks more corally in person! Regardless, I love how the coral color pops on my cheeks!
That New New:
I bought this during the Sephora sale in August and have worn it a few times and haven’t had any issues (skin-wise) yet. I haven’t paid attention enough to see if it’s improved my skin, but I’ll tell you one thing: it smells delicious. Think Watermelon Jolly Rancher. YUM. You can wear it either as an overnight mask or as a more temporary face mask. I bought the mini one to try before buying the full size, which I highly recommend!
I recently bought this one after seeing it on GelCream. I weirdly trust this stranger that runs the Instagram account. It doesn’t hurt that it’s an absolutely beautiful account. Anyway, GelCream posted that this stuff fixes redness in the skin and that immediately caught my eye. My skin is so red when I don’t have makeup on, which makes me want to wear foundation all the time. However, this stuff seriously works. It goes on super green, but then blends into your skin and seriously camouflages the redness! One of my good friends saw this on my Instagram and said that sometimes she now wears it all the time, without foundation! Amazing! Like most products, I bought the mini version to try out, but will definitely consider buying the full size if I run out!
I used to have this lip color in a mini size a few years ago and sadly lost it. I love this one because it’s not too dry, like lipstick, but it’s not too tacky, like lipgloss. I love the Coral color, which looks super red online, but once it’s on your lips, it’s definitely a light coral color. It looks amazing with the Tarte blush I mentioned above!
I picked this setting spray up during the last Sephora sale. Everyone knows skin is in, which means protecting it with SPF. This setting spray is honestly so genius. Instead of having to put on sunscreen under your foundation, you can spray this on top, and even reapply it throughout the day! Admittedly, I tend to wear my NYX Setting Spray most days, but if I know I’m going to be outside for more than 10 minutes, I try to reach for my SuperGoop!
On My Radar:
I’m a pretty simple girl when it comes to eyeshadow palettes. I seriously only use the Naked and Naked2 palettes on a regular basis. But this new palette from ABH caught my eye. Some of the colors look very similar to the colors I love from the Naked palettes, so I’m definitely considering investing in this one!
If you haven’t heard of the benefits of using a silk pillowcase, you’re probably living under a rock. It’s so good for your hair and skin. For the amount of time I spend sleeping (which is a lot), I might as well be helping my skin and hair while I do it! This pillowcase is the best of the best, and I’ve heard it’s totally worth the price tag!
Don’t let the raunchy name keep you from adding this palette to your shopping cart 😉 I’ve been wanting the Orgasm/Laguna duo from NARS for years and now that they’ve come out with this limited edition palette that includes a highlighter
(for the same price!!), I think I’ve finally been convinced! Honestly, this is probably the #1 item on my list!
While I really really love the It Cosmetics foundation I mentioned above, I’ve heard really incredible things about this Estee Lauder foundation! Its supposed to be super full-coverage, which would be perfect for days where you’re breaking out or when you need your foundation to stay flawless all-day! I love the shade-finder Sephora offers on their site so you can be sure you’re getting the right color when switching foundations!
I just got a new curling wand last Christmas, however, if I hadn’t, I’d be all over this T3! Everyone I follow that uses this absolutely loves it, and their curls always turn out looking fab!
Of course, there are so many other things I’d love, but we’ll just keep the list at this 😉 Don’t forget, the sale starts Friday the 16th and goes until Monday the 19th. This is the best sale of the season so don’t miss out! What are you planning on picking up at Sephora? Comment below or on my latest Instagram!
