I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since I graduated college. I’m not kidding when I say it feels like it was yesterday. It’s so crazy to see people like my little and my younger friends taking senior pictures, announcing where they’ll be working and making future plans! Time really flies, y’all.
It was about this time last year that I was desperately searching for the perfect dress for graduation. I knew I wanted a white dress because the TCU graduation gowns are purple, and I wanted it to be cute because I knew we’d be taking a ton of pictures, but I wasn’t ready to drop a fortune on a dress I likely wouldn’t be wearing regularly. This year, I wanted to make it easy for y’all, so I’ve compiled some of the cutest white dresses I could find under $100, including the exact dress I wore to my graduation!
Click on any of the dresses below and it will lead you right to the right page! Or, you can use the widget below to explore!
Obviously, spring is the time that it seems like everyone needs a good white dress. Whether its graduation, bridal showers, baby showers, rehearsal dinners, Easter, or even just vacation, everyone needs a beautiful white dress!
While I’m walking down memory lane, I figured I’d add some pictures from my graduation last year, you know, to prove I actually graduated:
Can we talk about how cute my friends and family are?! I’m so so so lucky!! Graduation Day was a whirlwind of emotions, but I have a few tips for those of you about to walk across the stage:
- Be ready to sweat. May in Texas is HOT. Wearing a thick gown while waiting to line up for an hour outside in Texas is HOTTER. There were a few times I thought I was going to pass out it was so hot. Wear your deodorant, drink your water and do your breathing exercises because you’ll need them.
- Make sure you can walk in your shoes. I thought about buying new shoes for graduation but of course I procrastinated and didn’t have enough time to break new ones in. I wore trusty shoes I’ve had for years that I was very confident I would be able to walk in and I’m so glad I did
- Take lots of pictures before the ceremony. I’m sure every school does graduation day differently, but at TCU there are 3 different ceremonies at different points in the day. I lucked out and had the afternoon ceremony, which meant I could take pictures in the morning with my family, beforehand. At TCU, they make you return your gown immediately after graduating, so be sure to take pictures before if you want pictures in it!
- Drink cheap margaritas and celebrate! After the ceremony and pictures were over, we decided to go to my favorite taco place right outside of campus to celebrate with cheap margaritas and tacos. It was such a fun way to relax after the craziness and introduce my grandpa to the cheap drinks I’d been indulging in throughout my college years.
For those of you graduating this Spring, congrats! You did it! After almost a year of the real world, I can tell you that it has its hard moments, but it’s usually amazing. Feel free to check out my adulting posts for some tips & tricks on this new chapter of your life. You got this!
