What’s up? Welcome to Seeking the South by Emma Lucky. My name is Emma Mikulecky and I’m a twenty-something living in Fort Worth, Texas, working a full-time job, writing this on the side, most likely with a glass of wine in hand.
I started this blog way back in 2014 when I was preparing to head off to college. I was able to use this as a platform to help other young women with the confusing intricacies of rushing a sorority, decorating your dorm, and being a “big” in said sorority. Since then, I’ve gotten my BA in Marketing and landed a full-time job working at a digital advertising agency.
Obviously, this blog is no longer focused around college or sorority life, because, well, that would be pretty damn weird and I would have no idea what I was talking about anymore. Now, I focus most everything I write about around what every millennial loves to do: save money. I love style and beauty, but I refuse to shell out my entire paycheck to do so, so I dig deep to get the best deals out there.
My favorite thing to do is share many of the tips and tricks I’ve accumulated through research and years of being
cheap frugal. Obviously, I like to spice it up with some travel and food posts, but if you’re looking for someone wearing head to toe designer and buying $90 hand cream — this ain’t it sis.
Oh, did I pique your interest by talking about saving money? I thought so. Well, what’re you waiting for? Read on, follow me on Instagram, like me on Facebook, hell, even follow me on Pinterest for more. Your paycheck is practically begging you to.
